GNOME Mines Description

GNOME Mines is an open source graphical software written in GTK+ for the GNOME desktop environment, providing a clone of the famous and addictive Mines game. GNOME Mines (or gnomine, as it is known among connoisseurs) is a board/puzzle game where the player needs to locate mines that are floating in a virtual ocean using only their brain and a little bit of luck. The game starts with a grid of covered squares (this is the "ocean") and the player's job is to clear the squares without stepping on a mine. GNOME Mines is distributed as a standalone package, as well as a part of the GNOME Games software package.
