Geocode-glib Description

geocode-glib is an open source library software written in C++ for implementing geocoding (the ability to find latitude and longitude from an address) and reverse geocoding (the ability to find an address from GPS coordinates) by using the Nominatim service. geocode-glib is comprised of error helper functions, geocode forward geocoding object, geocode location object, geocode place object, geocode reverse geocoding object, and geocode enumerated types. It can also cache reverse-)geocoding requests for displaying results much faster. The Empathy instant messaging client and Evolution email and groupware software use the geocode-glib library.
