Mapiso Description

Mapiso is a image sorter for Linux systems written in Perl/Tk. Mapiso is a image sorter for Linux systems written in Perl/Tk.Developer commentsI wrote mapiso just for me, because I needed a tool to help me sort my images to different directories. Mapiso displays all JPEG pictures of a given directory in a window. It's possible to open multiple windows and to copy, cut and paste the pictures with the mouse from one directory to an other. Mapiso is also able to display EXIF infos of a JPEG picture (like timestamp, camera model, focal length, exposure time, aperture, etc.) Mapiso uses the thumbnails generated by mapivi, it's not yet able to generate them himself.Mapivi and mapiso are two tools working together. The idea is to use mapivi to rotate and comment the pictures, mapiso to sort them into albums and mapivi again to generate online picture albums which use and display the embedded comments and EXIF infos. Here are some key features of "Mapiso": · displays thumbnail pictures of all pictures in a directory · displays JPEG pictures in a X11 window · displays EXIF (EXchangeable Image File) information (date, time, aperture, exposure time, ISO speed, ...), if available in the picture · displays embedded JPEG comments, if available · allows to copy, cut and paste pictures from one directory to an other · can create directories Requirements: · a computer running UNIX (Linux, Solaris, ...) and X11 · Perl 5.005 or better · Perl/Tk 800.015 or better · Perl module Image::Info · Perl/Tk module Tk::JPEG · Mapiso need thumbnails generated by mapivi (in future Mapiso will generate them on it's own)
