Safe and SafeDesktop project are created so that a user need not remember all her login names and passwords. There are two applications included: MobileKnox and DesktopKnox. DesktopKnox is a Java-based application that provides the same features as MobileKnox does but it runs on desktop computers. Java allows DesktopKnox to be executed on almost all modern desktop operating systems (e.g., Microsoft Windows, Linux, Mac OS). Both parts run independently but they work together as well: A synchronization mechanism is part of the software to keep the data synchronized between DesktopKnox and MobileKnox. MobileKnox MobileKnox runs on almost every cellphone/PDA that is Java-enabled. After downloading the software onto your device, the installation process is simple and automatic. A new icon will be created and after clicking it you will be asked to fill in your master password. Also, enter the desktop computer’s IP address to be able to synchronize. After this simple steps, MobileKnox is ready to be used. Create, edit and delete new and existing entries is easy. You can synchronize MobileKnox with the desktop version by just clicking "synchronize". DesktopKnox Using the desktop version you can conveniently edit your entries on your desktop computer and transfer them onto your cellphone automatically. Of course you can do all editing also directly on your cellphone, but sometimes it’s more comfortable to work on your home PC with a real keyboard and a large screen. To run DesktopKnox you need Java version 6. Requirements: · Java 2 Standard Edition Runtime Environment Limitations: · DesktopKnox already comes in an unlimited version. It is fully workable with all editing and synchronizing features and unlimited entries. · MobileKnox on your mobile device is limited to three entries for the trial version. If you like it and you want to add more entries, just buy the serial key to make your MobileKnox open for unlimited entries. Don’t worry: All your existing entries stay in place, you don’t have to download another version again. You just have to enter a serial key to activate unlimited entries.
