OSDEASolver Description

Data Envelopment Analysis is a state of the art benchmarking technique which can potentially help people doing better multi-criteria performance measurement studies. There exist DEA software programs although these are generally either not really comprehensive or really expensive. Besides, only little open source DEA problem solving code can be found.The OSDEASolver project's aim is to provide open source code which would enable anybody to write their own DEA problems simply and quickly by just writing the corresponding model classes.The project objectives are as follows:1. The immediate objective of this project is to allow people interested in DEA to concentrate on the code for the DEA model itself rather than linking it to a linear solver or creating a the DEA Problem Object.2. The medium term objective of this project is to add more DEA models (only the CCR IO model is available at the moment).3. The long term objective of this project is to add an interface to easily import, manipulate and solve DEA problems. Supported Models (in the downloadable JAR):Most models come - when possible - with their corresponding Constant, Increasing, Decreasing, Input, Output Oriented, Non-discretionary and non-controllable versions.1.
