Open Invaders Description

Open Invaders is a GPL version of Space Invaders. Open Invaders is a fully-GPL interpretation of Taito's Space Invaders. While it is not a perfect clone, the aim of the project is to provide a feature rich clone of the famous arcade game. It features (so far) 14 levels with unique backdrops and a full soundtrack.Requirements:· Allegro library (>=4.2.1)· DUMB library (>=0.9.3)What's New in This Release:· Code optimised to remove useless functions· Expanded high-score functionality· Easier to switch between fullscreen and windowed modes· Superb new graphics· Particle system and alpha-blending for explosions· Initial elements for unlockables aka achievements system (as yet incomplete)· A few other graphical and feature updates· Bug fixes
