OpenSXCE is an open source, free and enterprise-class OpenSolaris-based server and desktop-oriented operating system distribution. The distro runs primarily on Sun UltraSPARC sun4u/sun4v-compatible and Intel CPU-compatible systems, supporting both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures. OpenSXCE includes both GNOME and IceWM desktop environments, as well as a set of popular applications like Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, GIMP, Apache OpenOffice, Pidgin, Time Slider, Songbird, Rhythmbox, DTrace, Ekiga, Oracle Solaris Studio 12.x professional C/C++ compiler, as well as specific GNOME-based desktop apps.
