Semi-Automatic OS Description
Semi-Automatic OS is an open source, completely free and lightweight Linux operating system designed for the land cover classification of remote sensing images. As its name suggests, Semi-Automatic OS includes the QGIS 2.0 Semi-Automatic Classification plugin, which is already configured along with all its dependencies, such as SAGA GIS, Orfeo Toolbox, GDAL, Matplotlib and Numpy. The Semi-Automatic OS Linux distribution is based on Ubuntu 13.04 (Raring Ringtail) operating system and it supports only the 32-bit architecutre. It is engineered to require very little hardware resources. Semi-Automatic OS is distributed as a virtual machine and it uses the LXDE and Openbox desktop environments. The default username is 'user' with the password: user.
