A+SkyAndSea theme for GNOME 2.x desktops A+SkyAndSea Theme for GNOME 2 & Metacity is a very pretty theme that, despite its bright elements, is a dark theme - one that produces no known problems with programs that are traditionally problematic with dark themes under GNOME. It is based upon several themes, including the Dust theme. The background image is original work. This theme is part of UberStudent--Linux for College and High School, and is part of the uberstudent-extra-themes package. http://uberstudent.org The download includes the GTK and Metacity A+SkyAndSea themes, desktop background, and menu backgrounds. The theme depends on gnome-brave-icon-theme which is available in most package managers. Ubuntu users can search in Synaptic with that term and install. How to install? To install the theme, just drag A+SkyAndSea.tar.gz into your theme manager - right-click on the desktop, choose "Change Desktop Background", go to the the "Themes" tab, and drag and drop A+SkyAndSea.tar.gz into the window. To easily use the background images, extract the tar and place the background images into /usr/share/backgrounds and then add from there. Also available is A+GreenTea Theme, which relies on much of the same basic code as A+SkyAndSea but is, obviously, a green theme with a fresh appearance.About GNOME:GNOME is an international effort to build a complete desktop environment—the graphical user interface which sits on top of a computer operating system—entirely from free software.
