Nextls Description

A music collection metadata manager Nextls is a small application that indexes your music collection metadata in a MySQL database. Everytime Nextls is launched it will figure out any changes done since the previous run and update the database accordingly. Nextls runs as a shell (console) application and is known to work on both UNIX based systems and Windows.Only OGG and MP3 are suppored by default and there really are no plans to officially support anything else at this point. Requirements: · PHP · MySQL What's New in This Release: · The database now installs itself using UTF-8 as the charset. You need iconv in PHP built against libiconv (not glibc!) for this to work. · If running on UTF-8 based filesystems you should add the new xml attribute utf8fs="true" to every dir element that needs it in the configuration file for now. This probably only applies to OS X users. · No longer visually gives the impression that a directory containing only invalid mp3 or ogg files is actually added to the database. · No longer tries to delete duplicated entries before commits when flushing the database, this speeds up the first indexing a little bit. · Several bugs preventing the metacache from being generated correctly in all previous versions have been fixed. · Memory limit is now forced to 48M in the boot script, fixes PHP installations with ridiculously low memory constraints.
