MacWarden is able to record your desktop’s activity in order to offer you an idea about how is your computer used in your absence. MacWarden will capture screenshots at certain time intervals and allows you to preview them at a later time. MacWarden can be used to see if your device is used for illegal activities or if your children are following your rules when it comes to social media. The app will not record keystrokes or any other type of data: it simply captures screens and saves them to your disk. MacWarden works in stealth mode and you can access its interface only if you press the Control, Shift and Space keys at the same time. In the main window you can start the recording process and then play back the available image. MacWarden offers you the possibility to send the current frame to your clipboard if you want to export it to other applications. From the Preferences window you can easily adjust the playback time, the record screen frequency and the output location for the captured images. MacWarden’s interface can also be password protected and you can choose to enable the “Stealth on startup” feature. MacWarden is a great utility if you are looking for a way to record your computer’s activity without slowing down your system. To access the app’s interface you need to know the correct keyboard combination and you may also choose to password protect the main window, just to be on the safe side.
