Populate Template Placeholders Description
Free script that will allow you to duplicate an Omnifocus project, replace its placeholders with user entered strings. Populate Template Placeholders is a script that will take an OmniFocus project, duplicate it, replace placeholders with user entered strings, and adjust all dates by some fixed interval - again based on user input. The only thing missing for my needs is automatically moving the new project to the inbox. Unfortunately that support isn't available in the current build of OmniFocus. So to use a template you need to find the new project at the end of your projects list, then move it to the folder you want it to “live” in.To install the Populate Template Placeholders script, save it in ~/Library/Scripts/Applications/OmniFocus. (You may need to create that folder.) You can then use Customize Toolbar to add the script to the toolbar in OmniFocus. What's New in This Release: · Handles apostrophes and other punctuation inside the replacement text. · Shiny new icon. · Now handles date shifting for projects without placeholders. · Cleans up after itself if user cancels.
