Redbox - use-anywhere IRC client RedBox 1.0 is a use anywhere IRC client. With versions for Mac OS X and Windows (XP recommended), you can put it on a mini CD-r and carry it with you to use wherever you have access to a computer:· Campus computer lab· Friend's computer· Internet Cafe· Library· etcUsing RedBoxTo use RedBox, simply double click the applications icon. You will be presented with a window asking for your preferred IRC server and username. Clicking Ok willconnect you to the IRC server. Once you are connected, you will need only type the text /join channelReplacing channel with the channel of your choice. For example, to access the Nitrogen Narcosis Software support channel, you would connect to irc.freenode.net,then type /join #NNSoftware.
