iTunes CLI Description
Free and open source command-line interface for iTunes iTunes CLI allows you to control iTunes for Mac OS X from the command line. It allows you to use SSH to connect remotely and control iTunes. It is written completely in Bash and AppleScript.Commands that are currently implemented: Play/Pause, Next/Previous Song, Play at Certain Time, Increase/Decrease Volume by 5%, Mute, Shuffle, Set Volume to Certain Level, Repeat, EqualizerUsage:To use, save this script where you can find it again on the system that you want to use it from, for example in your home directory or in /usr/bin.Make it executable with "sudo chmod 755 'path'" Then ssh to that system and run the script:· ssh -t mysystem ./iTunesCLI - (when stored in your home directory)· ssh -t mysystem iTunesCLI - (when stored in /usr/bin)The -t option is needed to make keystrokes be recognized immediately.
