TipCharge Beta Description

TipCharge is a smartphone app that makes it easier being an owner of an electric car (e-car). The map displays EV charging posts all over the world as a service to all users. You will easily find the nearest charging post, get route description and get useful information of the charging post. No more will you have to worry about finding a charging station. Main features include: •EV charger finder – map displays charging posts all over the world •Find nearest charging station •Search by address •Search by features such as sockets and payment methods •Get route and driving instructions •Add chargers •Panorama view and Google Street View When you open TipCharge, the phone’s GPS will detect your current position and find the five nearest charging posts. By tapping the small charging post icon, a popup will appear. Here you will find information such as address, distance and position. Other available information may be price and number of sockets. Tap the route icon to see the route from your current position to the charging post at the map – also you can request driving instructions by sending the information to the phone’s navigation by tapping the Directions button. To get more information such as payment methods and socket information you must tap the “i” icon. If you would like to search for charging posts with specific features you may do so using the search filters – to access these you must drag down the curtain by the small handle at the top of the window. Here you can tick socket information such as Volt, you may tick your preferred payment method, or choose to search for quick chargers only. This way you will only see the charging posts that match your exact need. Other options are to search by a certain address or to set a new position any place you want by double-tapping on the map. Special features are the Google Street View, where you will be able to see how the surroundings look for a chosen charging post – this is useful if you are going to a new place and don’t know how that place looks. Also the Panorama View is a useful tool. Tap the button and hold the phone in front of you. The phone will now use the camera lens and detect the charging posts nearest to you. Move the phone around and see the emerging icons. TipCharge app can be used by everybody as an open service. However, you will have access to more features if you register. If you register you will be able to add chargers to TipCharge. Anybody can add chargers to TipCharge. In the personal settings area, you can manage your settings in terms of filters, how many charging posts to see and much more. We hope you will enjoy using TipCharge.
