Collectorz.com Game Collector is a game cataloging app for Windows. It has recently also been relased for Android, iPod, iPhone and iPad. The application basically allows you to add your games to a database on your computer. Games are added automatically by the application. You simply have to tell the application the name of the game that you want to add and it will carry out a web search and let you choose from all the available versions of that game, on all the available platforms. The application also allows you to scan the barcodes of the cases of your video games to make the process easier. For each item that you add to your database there is an impressive amount of data that gets downloaded and several different fields that you can complete yourself. For example, the application downloads the summary of the game and its artwork. It also detects the genre of the game, which then allows you to sort your games by genre. I like that you can rate your games and add the price you paid when you bought it and its current value, which is great for people who trade games and sell them after a while. You can see statistics about your game collection and export it to a variety of formats. You can also export it and send it to your iPhone. But this process isn't automatic, and you have to do it yourself every time you make changes. All in all, this is an absolutely great cataloging app. It is one of the best that I have seen and it even made me want to have more games so that I can catalog them. José Fernández Editor rating:
