DXF Import for Solid Edge Description

DWG Import for Solid Edge is an AutoCAD DWG file import add-in for Solid Edge. Thanks to it you will have the possibility to import solid objects from DWG files as solid models in Solid Edge. Solid Edge already has an AutoCAD DWG import feature. However, this import feature creates a 2D drawing in Solid Edge by reading 2d geometric objects such as curves and ignores 3d solids. DWG Import for Solid Edge removes this limitation by giving Solid Edge the ability to read 3d solid geometric data such as ACIS 3d solids, bodies and regions in an AutoCAD DWG file and create corresponding 3d solid models in Solid Edge part or assembly document. DWG Import for Solid Edge is very easy to use. It adds new commands to Solid Edge. Once installed, it automatically loads itself into Solid Edge and adds a new submenu called "DWG Import for Solid Edge" to the Solid Edge Applications menu containing these newly added commands.
