Design Waveform Description
A Nyquist plugin for Audacity Design and generate your own waveform using straight lines - you can then smooth the corners with the enclosed lowpass filter. 1. The first edit field represents a list of number pairs which define a waveform. Each pair consists of first a time, from 0 (start) to 1 (finish); the second number in each pair indicates the level at each time point (from -1.0 to +1.0). The last number should be 1, to indicate the end of the list (that is, there should be an odd number of values in the list). 2. Lowpass filter cutoff frequency - The more smooth you want the corners of your waveform, the lower this value should be. This reduces the number of higher-frequency harmonics (overtones) of your waveform, and also reduces possible aliasing with very high-frequency overtones. 3. Frequency or MIDI number - decide whether you want to generate your tone using a frequency or MIDI number. 4. Frequency setting, default 440hz. 5. MIDI number, default 69 (440hz). 6. Tone amplitude - in percent, default 100%. 7. Tone duration - default 30 seconds, maximum 5 minutes. Requirements: Audacity
