Dtella@Home is based off of Dtella, which was originally written by Dtella Labs. This version of Dtella has been modified to allow any IP Address to access the network. Requirements The only requirements for Dtella@Home are an active Internet connection, a computer running Windows XP/Vista, Mac OS X, or Linux. The installation is fairly straightforward. Once Dtella@Home is installed, a DC client such as ApexDC++ is needed to begin sharing documents on the network. Installation Installation will vary by platform. Please visit the Tutorials page on our Wiki for a more detailed installation guide. Most users will be required to forward ports on their router and firewall, which is detailed step-by-step on the Wiki. Be sure to grab the latest version of the software, check out the Changelog for more information. Usage Dtella@Home is the distributed DC hub emulator utility. It is the backbone of the network and provides a means for clients to connect to one another and form a DC hub for document sharing. A DC client is required in order to interact with the Dtella "hub", and provides an interface for the user to navigate the hub, search for documents, etc. A more detailed explanation of the Dtella architecture can be found over at the Dtella Labs Wiki.
