Emmabuntus Description

Emmabuntus provides users with a distribution for various Linux-based operating systems, such as Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Mythbuntu, Edubuntu, Lubuntu and Emmabuntus. Mainly designed to recondition old computers, the Emmabuntus system is lightweight and easy to use, without requiring too many system resources. It is designed to bring the look and feel of Xubuntu onto your computer, providing tools that facilitate navigation and ease of access.Available installation modes and deployment The latest version of distribution is available as an ISO file, which means that you need a dedicated application to create a bootable USB or a DVD. Alternatively, you can use previous versions, available as EXE files that can be launched directly on your PC, but in this case you must place the executable in the same location as the corresponding ISO file. The installer is available in various languages and it enables you to configure the target drive and the setup size, as well as the username and the password for the new account. New look and feel for your computerEmmabuntus enables you to get accustomed with the GNU/Linux operating system and try out something new. The integrated Cairo Dock can provide fast access to frequently used applications, while the sleek look of the menus and the icons might attract users. Pre-installed packagesThe Emmabuntus distribution bundles a diverse collection of pre-installed application, which is the main reason for the large size of the ISO file. Variety might be good, but Emmabuntus takes it to the extreme, bundling multiple web browsers, mail readers, development tools, multimedia or office applications, games and educational tools, all in a single package. This might not be appreciated by those who want to configure their system according to their preferences and not be obliged to use (and afterwards probably uninstall) a set of pre-defined programs. Emmabuntus is a Linux-based distribution that is easy to deploy, but the overwhelming collection of pre-installed apps might not please some users.
