Abacus Flight Deck 4 1.0 is an add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator which features the USS Ronald Reagan airbase. The add-on has launch and recovery system along with catapult and cable abilities. The catapult helps the airborne to leverage to a few hundred feet. The user could fly seven aircraft including F/A-18C Hornet, F/A-18E Super Hornet, E-2C Hawkeye, S-3B Viking, SH-60 Seahawk, C-2A Greyhound and EA-6B Prowler. It includes simplified catapult launch and recovery system. This helps in authentic deck operations with AI traffic on and above the carrier. During the launching sequence, the position has to be set over the catapult. The launch teams connect the user later. The shooter gives the signal to throttle the aircraft forward. During the recovery the LSO would order the user to vary their altitude. They can throttle back, and maintain an acceptable range of height. The center lights on the meatball help to know if the user is above or below the glide slope to the carrier. The HUD display helps to guide the user onto the deck. The add-on features various special effects that let the user enjoy a realistic flying experience. It has different difficulty level tasks which are challenging and exciting. R.
