Gauss's Law Flux Description

Gauss's Law Flux is a lightweight application that was designed in order to help understand the flux of the electric field through two closed imaginary Gaussian surfaces. This is a simulation illustrating Gauss's Law for a spherical or cylindrical imaginary Gaussian surface, in the presence of positive (orange) or negative (blue) point charges. You begin with one positive charge and one negative charge in the scene. You can add additional positive or negative charges using the Control Panel, or delete all charges present and start again. The charges can be moved around by left clicking and dragging on the charge. Since it is completely written in the Java programming language you should be able to effortlessly deploy Gauss's Law Flux on a variety of platforms.
