Melodeon Description

Melodeon is a lightweight software application designed to help you emulate the sound of a melodeon with bass using the keyboard. It sports a clean and simple layout that offers only a few configuration settings to tinker with. The program gives you the possibility to pick the instrument from a preset list (e.g. accordion, electric guitar, trumpet, contrabass, viola, clarinet, flute), select the key, and adjust the volume pretty easily, thanks to its built-in slider. The emulation process can be carried out using the space bar, function keys (F1-F12), and “Ctrl” and “Alt” keys as bass buttons. Since it doesn’t require much computer knowledge to work with this tool even rookies can configure the dedicated parameters with minimum effort. However, professional users may find it pretty inconvenient to work with a program that doesn’t come packed with advanced features. You are not allowed to export the musical compositions to a file and reassign the hotkeys. During our testing we have noticed that Melodeon carries out a task quickly, provides very good sound quality, and no errors showed up throughout the entire process. As it would it be expected from such a small utility, it leaves a minimal footprint on system resources, so it doesn’t hamper the overall performance of the computer, nor interfere with other programs’ functionality. To sum things up, Melodeon seems to be the right choice in case you are looking for an easy-to-use application that comes bundled with limited features for helping you emulate the sound of a melodeon.
