Multi Resolution Image Server for win32 Description

If you are a professional photographer or a publisher you will no doubt have huge scanned images, some measured in gigabytes! When you publish them on the web you must scale them down to fit on a screen, so that ordinary users can view them. What if you could publish the whole image, allow users to see everything, to zoom in on the finest details, but without giving away the original! MRI Server takes away the dirty work of presenting your images over the internet. You do not need to generate thumbnails and a full image chosen for 800x600 only to find that users now have bigger monitors. It is all taken care of and in such an elegant way that lets the user control how he/she views the image. A user first can see the whole image, but then as if the image where local they can zoom in, rotate, flip and brighten, they can examine your image closely. But this is done without sending the whole image, which is infeasible over current modem technology. The wonderful thing is that your clients do not need any special software, just a java capable browser! To use this software you must have a web server connected to the internet. Currently the supported platforms are Win9x/NT/2000, Linux/Glibc2.1, Sun Solaris 2.5 and Digital Unix 4.0B or better. All platform support is contained in the one archive and software enabling keys are platform independent, so you do not end up paying again if you later choose to change your server platform. Platforms supported:Windows 95, Unix / Linux, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows 98, Windows MEBenefits of registration:Enables viewing of huge images over the internet. No specialist client software, it is all in the server. Server supported under Win32 and 3 major unixes.
