MyDoom Scanner Description

Sometimes, even if you use a good tool that offers protection against viruses and spyware, your computer may still be at risk. Some antivirus products fail to detect all viruses that can be harmful to your system’s health, and this is why you need dedicated tools for dealing with such a task. MyDoom Scanner was specifically built for detecting Mydoom viruses on your computer. The user interface is simplistic, and it doesn’t require a lot of time to get used to working with this program. As the name of the app implies, this program is only able to perform checkups in order to detect if the Mydoom virus has infiltrated into your computer. In order to start the scanning process for possible malware, you should specify the IP. The program is able to read IPs from a plain text file. It is only capable of detecting the virus, so it cannot delete or remove it from your computer. You can make the app show vulnerable and non-vulnerable systems, randomize the scan order, and perform quick scans (it only scans the most common ports). Moreover, the program is able to send notifications to the vulnerable systems by displaying a message. It generates a standard message that informs you that your system is infected with the Mydoom virus, but it is also possible to delete it and to add your own text notification. During our testing we have noticed that the app is able to carry out a scan pretty quickly and without errors. It also offers time estimation for completing the job.
