RightMark Memory Analyzer Description

RightMark Memory Analyzer is a powerful tool that performs a series of tests on your computer in order to determine the characteristics of the CPU, chipset and RAM. In other words, it's a handy utility designed to test some of the pieces of hardware hidden underneath the PC case and thus lend you a hand when trying to optimize the system. The interface is quite user-friendly and straightforward, sporting that professional feeling you expect from an app supposed to handle such an important task. You can view the memory status, with total and available physical space, but also set up the test by choosing the memory, stride size, test patterns and repeats. In addition, the main window shows a color legend to help you understand the virtual memory map. A full test takes around ten minutes and although the computer isn't stressed up at all, it's recommended to avoid running other applications in order to get the best results. There is a total of seven tests included in the procedure, such as average and peak memory bandwidth, average and minimal L1 / L2 data cache / memory latency, L1-L2 data cache associativity and bandwidth. As soon as the tests come to an end, the bottom of the main window shows you a quick overview over the results, displaying the number of performed tests, the total time and the number of errors. All in all, RightMark Memory Analyzer is quite a useful software solution that can assess the hardware performance of your machine. Reviewed by Bogdan Popa, last updated on March 26th, 2013
