SecureWare Description
SecureWare is a lightweight application that is designed to help you remove autorun viruses that have made their way onto your USB flash drives. These types of viruses are very common, they spread very fast and have the potential to do harm. In most cases though, they provide the perfect means for serious threats to make their way onto your computer.Easy to install and useSecureWare is an application that won’t pose any challenge while being installed or used. It displays a user-friendly interface in the form of a simple window where you can view a scan log with information such as drive, volume label, result and risk file. Apart from the options to remove the detected file, ignore it or rescan the device, SecureWare doesn’t offer anything else. Automatically scan devicesSecureWare runs silently in the background and takes up very little of your system resources. While it is active, it automatically scans any device that is connected via USB and notifies you if any threats are found. For your convenience, the application enables you to toggle options that let the application delete infected autorun files, scan devices as soon as they are connected, play a sound when malicious components are found, as well as run once you login to your Windows account. A second line of defenseAlthough SecureWare is a nice little tool to have on your computer, it should mostly be used as a second line of defense for your computer, an extra piece of security. The application tends to deliver its share of false-positives and with a full-featured antivirus solution to compare results, you can make better sense of what is actually going on.
