Taskill Description

Taskill is a lightweight Windows software tool designed to kill some processes running on your system. Doing the same thing as Task Manager but with a much user friendly approach, Taskill doesn't assault the user with configuration options or a complex interface. Instead, the program focuses on its purpose, displaying the running processes and allowing users to kill any of the entries. Although the interface isn't clearly the best we've seen in this particular software segment, Taskill could come in very handy, mostly in those cases when the computer is infected by a virus that disables Task Manager. There's no other option than to refresh the list and detect the recently launched processes, with a single click on the “Kill” button to close any item instantly. Additionally, Taskill doesn't feature a help manual, so you can't get assistance in case there's something wrong with the app, but chances are that you don't even need such a feature thanks to the user friendly approach of the program. Another good thing about Taskill is that it's portable, which means it's easy to launch it wherever you go. It's enough to copy the executable file on a removable drive and launch it on any Windows workstation. Obviously, the impact on system performance is minimal and Taskill runs just fine on all Windows versions, but you do need administrator privileges to launch it on Windows 7 machines. Overall, Taskill does what it says and although it may seem an unnecessary piece of software, it could come in handy to lots of users struggling to get rid of specific virus infections.
