GNOME Mahjongg is an open source and totally free graphical software written in GTK+ for the GNOME desktop environment, providing a solitaire (one player) version of the classic Mahjongg, an Eastern tile game. The player's main objective is to select pairs of similar tiles, until the board is empty or no more moves are available, in as short a time period as possible. The origins of the Mahjongg game remain completely unknown to people. GNOME Mahjongg is distributed as a standalone application that can be used in any Linux distribution or desktop environment where GTK+ exists, or as part of the GNOME Games package.
