Refracta Description

Refracta is an open source Linux-based operating system designed to be used by home computer users, as a system rescue and recovery Live CD. Refracta provides a simple, yet user-friendly layout that most users will find very comfortable. The distro is based on the Debian GNU/Linux operating system and uses the default Debian software repository. The Linux operating system reviewed here includes various in-house built tools, such as Refractainstaller, refracta2usb, and refractasnapshot, which allows users to further customize their installation and create their very own Live CD or Live USB operating system based on Refracta. Refracta is distributed as Live CD ISO images, supporting both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.
