mcl Description

Matti's Cool Linux MCL is an Ubuntu-based Linux distribution. The unique advantage of MCL is the clean user interface: Important things like quicklaunch and taskbar are placed on an always visible panel on the top, while less important things like system monitoring are placed on automatically hiding panels in the corners. Furthermore MCL contains useful applications, that are not included in (X/K)Ubuntu by default, e.g. Krusader. What's New in This Release: · based on Xubuntu 9.10 · new user interface with lxpanel · additional software: Krusader, Wine, winbrowse.exe, Remastersys, Taskmanager, MediaMan · removed software: Exaile, Games, OpenOffice (because the more user-friendly programs Abiword and Gnumeric are included in MCL) · usplash and xsplash disabled for faster boot time · optimized Xfce settings · scripts for package managers to remove unneeded dependencies automatically
