Folder Explorer is a software application which lets individuals browse the contents of your PC and see information pertaining to each file and folder. This application is portable, meaning you can easily skip the installation process. As a consequence, the Windows registry is not going to be affected by it and there will be no leftovers upon its removal from the HDD. Aside from that, if you drop the program files to a USB flash drive or other such portable storage unit, you can use Folder Explorer on any computer you have access to, by simply clicking the executable. The interface sports a minimal design and it is built with several panels, so that browsing can be highly efficient. In one you can view a folder structure, another displays files by type and the latter shows all items with details such as name, created and modified date, attributes and size. It is also possible to view information pertaining to a selected folder, such as attributes, total size and number of containing files. This software tool enables you to display system files. However, it is recommended that beginners do not choose this option, so as not to delete items by mistake. Folder Explorer can be added to the Windows context menu, folder properties can be saved to the hard disk as CSV, XML and HTML files, a skin can be used and it is possible to append attributes, such as hidden, shared, read-only and archive. Taking all of this into consideration, the minimal usage of CPU and RAM, good response time and user-friendly interface, we can safely say Folder Explorer is a useful piece of software which enables you to browse and manage the contents of your HDD in a more efficient manner.
